December Things To Know

Hey Band,

It is December! Here are a few things you are going to need to know for the month of December:

1. There is no Student Ministries Sunday Morning the last 2 Sundays of December (Dec. 23 and 30); SMSM will be back January 6
2. There is no Refuge and no Wildside for the last week of December or the first week of January (Dec. 25 and 27; and Jan. 1 and 3)
3. December 12 will be our LAST BAND MEETING of 2012, so be sure to be there these next couple of meetings.There will be NO BAND MEETINGS December 19, or 26, or January 2.
4. Our FIRST BAND MEETING of 2013 will be January 9
5. There will be no band playing for the Snow Bell at Refuge, December 18. Come and enjoy the event!
6. There will be a band playing for Chaotic Christmas for Wildside. We will be doing Christmas songs, and everyone will be singing on stage.

November Schedules and Youth Sunday

Hey Band,

First of all, be sure to talk to your parents about Youth Sunday.

Youth Sunday will be November 25, the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We will have practice in the beginning of the week (right now we are saying Tuesday at 5pm, but that could change depending on people's schedules). Then practice that Sunday morning at 7:50am.

Band Meetings 2012-2013

Hey Band,

We have a definite time for the Band Meetings for this year set! Woo Hoo! This year we will be meeting as an entire Band (both Refuge and Wildside Bands) on Wednesday afternoons from 4-5pm. Now, I know that this time works for most people, but there are still a few of you who will have a bit of difficulty with this time. If you are one of those people who will have difficulty with this time, come and talk to me about it. If you are one of those people for whom this time works, I will see you at the meetings!

So our first Band Meeting will be this upcoming Wednesday:

Wednesday, August 15, 4-5pm.

I can't wait to begin the meetings and see us all grow together as a Band and as the Body of Christ!

Also, August 5 is "Move-Up" Sunday, meaning all of the grade levels officially move up, church-wide. And then that week, August 7 and August 9, are the first Refuge and Wildside of the school year.

Hey Band,

Check the previous blog again for an updated schedule for Refuge and Sunday mornings. The updated schedules are also posted on the bulletin board in the offices. Thank you all for staying faithful when things have to change. I see all of your commitments and encourage you to continue in your excellence.

WORSHIP CONFERENCE
Also, coming up very shortly is this year's Worship Conference hosted by William Jessup University. It is on March 17, but because of last year's difficulty with tickets, we want to make sure we have all of our tickets bought early on. I expect all of you to be going (after all, it was in the application), but I understand that sometimes there are family issues that can not be worked around. I need to hear from each of you whether or not you will be able to attend this year by January 26 (next Thursday). Again, this year we will be paying for half of the price of your tickets, so instead of you having to pay $30, it will only cost you $15. Talk to your parents and talk to me as quickly as possible (I can and will answer any questions you or your parents have, so don't hesitate to ask me about anything).

I want to thank you all for your excitement and your great attitudes in this new year. I look forward to everything God will accomplish in us and because of us in 2012.
